Our team was called out to sandblast and apply a liquid coat to existing metal pipes and beams at Bruce Randolph School. Prior to sandblasting we masked and taped the designated areas to prevent overspray and structural damage to the building. We then removed the existing paint and rust by on-site sandblasting. Sandblasting the metal pieces helps prevent further rust and allows the new paint to stick and adhere. Sandblasting also prevents the paint from flaking. Once the sandblasting was completed, we applied an epoxy primer to ensure longevity. We allowed the epoxy primer to cure before applying the urethane topcoat. After the urethane topcoat was applied and cured, our team demasked and clean the designated work areas. We touched up any needed areas to make sure the job was completed and perfect for our customer.
